Oktoberfest is a Firkin good time!
Submitted by Russ on September 12, 2008 - 09:50.Next saturday, September 20th, at 3pm I will be swinging a wooden mallet to drive home the starting tap into the Oktoberfest 2008 firkin. There will be brauts grilling and beer swilling. One liter commerative (you get to keep) steins with beer for $12 and refills for $9. You can use your mug until the end of Oktoberfest on October 5th, that is if the beer lasts that long.
Outdoor seating will be available on an authentic bench & table set from last year's Big Tent Party in Munich. There will giveaways and prizes for all.

A $2 ticket gives you a chance to win an iPod Nano, Jameson Survival Pack, Inflatable Guinness chair and lots of other bits of fun. Raffle tickets go on sale Friday the 5th and you do not need to be present to win. Enter early and enter often. The drawing will be held on St. Practice day, September 17th, with live music from Ockham's Razor.
Bacon Makes Every Thing Better!

From 8pm to Midnight you can get three tasty strips of that fine pork product for just a dollar. Who says the dollar doesn't buy what it use to? Instead going back to the gold standard what if we started the pork standard. We could use bacon as our currency!
